Why are you offering 15% discount to Canadian customers?

If you're a Canadian customer shopping on ZenShop, you'll be requested to pay a standard Federal Sales Tax (GST) of 5%. For Ontario and the Atlantic provinces you will be requested to pay the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), which includes the GST of 5%. Ontario is required to pay the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 13%. The Atlantic Provinces are required to pay the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 15%.

On top of this, you'll also have to pay duties on any purchases that are over CAD $150 and a $10.75 Canadian Post admin fee. 

We're recognizing that as a Canadian customer you face a lot of charges when shopping from us and therefore we're offering a 15% discount code to cover the tax (GST + PST or HST) for all provinces as the tax ranges from 5% to 15%. With the 15% off code we're making sure that we have everyone covered.

How much total tax will I be requested to pay?

We're unable to advise how much total tax you'll have to pay as this varies by province and, in the case of Customs Duty, by product.

Are you directly paying for the Federal Sales Tax?

We're not directly paying for the Federal Sales Tax. You'll still have to go through the standard procedure and receive the E14 Customs Invoice form and pay the sales tax, duty charges and handling fee as you normally would before the order gets released to you.

How to use the code?

When you get to checkout type the code CA15 into the 'Promo/ Student Code or Voucher' box. Once you've entered the code, click on 'Apply Code' and it will add the code to your order. When the code has been applied to your order, you'll see the promo value and the total of your order will change to reflect the code.
